TIN
news: An All Nippon Airways’ Boeing 787-9 aircraft will appear in the
flying display at the Farnborough air show, the first time a Japanese
carrier has made a flight demonstration at the show.
“The decision to
operate the demonstration flight reflects ANA's status as the launch
customer and the largest operator of 787 series of aircraft,” says the
carrier in a statement.
The demonstration will, however, be conducted by Boeing with a yet-to-be delivered aircraft.
The aircraft will sport a special livery featuring two symbols of Japan, Mount Fuji and cherry blossoms.
Flight
Fleets Analyzer shows that ANA operates 36 787-8s and 11 -9s. It has
firm orders for 33-9s and three -10s. Its 787s are powered by
Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines.
In 2015, a Vietnam Airlines -9
participated in the flying display at the Paris air show. The year
before, a Boeing -9 test aircraft appeared in the flying display at
Farnborough
